Deborah Pellock’s passion for art started at a very young age.  As a child and young adult in Michigan, she won several awards for her drawings. She continued her study of art by attending two Michigan colleges, Macomb and Oakland. She later studied with nationally known “colorist” artist Dee Beard Dean and renowned portrait artist, John De la Vega.
Deborah currently focuses on plein aire painting but also enjoys figurative works reminiscent of 19th century impressionist painters. Influences for her style are derived from the works of Sorolla, Frieseke and Frank Weston Benson. Her goal is not just to create art, but to create a feeling.
Deborah currently divides her time between her residence in Athens,  Georgia  and Charleston, South Carolina.
